Cause of the Month

Acts 20:35

"In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

At American Lutheran Church, we believe in being active members of our Community. All year long we support a cause of the Month and give our love, service and generosity to help make a difference in the lives of everyone in our Community.

Helping communities around the world through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster. 25% of the Crop Hunger Walk funds are returned to the host community.

The Crop Project began in 1947, when farmers donated food and seed crops to postWWII Europe and Asia. The first CROPWalks were in Bismark, SD in 1969 and York, PA in 1970. This year the CROPWalk is on Oct. 9th, but you can walk anytime with family, friends or by yourself.

You donate through Cause of the Month at ALC or online. There is no paperwork, making this easy. "Ending Hunger One Step At A Time"
