Cause of the Month
Acts 20:35

"In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

At American Lutheran Church, we believe in being active members of our Community. All year long we support a cause of the Month and give our love, service and generosity to help make a difference in the lives of everyone in our Community.
UNL Lutheran Center
Every year, the Lutheran Center serves approximately 700 students from a variety of faiths. The center is both spiritually and physically a welcoming environment for all. They practice confession and forgiveness and commit to cultivating a community of justice and equity for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ people and individuals of all experiences. The center has two worship services each week – a service of holy communion and an evening prayer service. There are groups for morning prayers each weekday. Students become part of an educational and formative experience and are uniquely equipped to serve their communities after graduation. Through this ministry, lives are transformed. Your donations help them support students all year, provide services such as bible study, refreshments, and Ministries.
American Lutheran will be hosting a meal after worship at the Lutheran Center on November 16th. Worship at the Lutheran Center begins at 11 AM and lunch is served following worship. Members are welcome to join worship at the Lutheran Center, and they are invited to help sign-up and serve lunch alongside the Social Concerns committee. Please sign up in the church narthex if you are willing to help.
