About the event
ALC will be hosting Orphan Grain Train - Mercy Meals on August 24 for a fun and impactful God's Work Our Hands service project to package meals. Our goal is to package 8,000 meals which is the average that can be made and packaged in 90 minutes with four teams of volunteers. Now through August 17 the Social Concerns Committee invites you to help with fund raising. The cost per meal is $0.17...yes, only 17 cents! That includes all ingredients, packaging and shipping. Please consider one of the following ways to help raise the funds:
· Contribute $0.17 for each meal you eat each week. (21 meals = 21 x $0.17 = $3.57
· Contribute $0.17 for each meal your entire family eats for 1 week - do this as often as you can. A family of 4 would contribute $14.28 (the equivalent of 84 meals!)
