WHO WE ARE
Founded on March 30, 1932 American Lutheran Church started as a place where Lutheran Services were first held in English during the Great Depression for German Immigrants. Now, 90 years later, we continue our mission of serving the community around us.
What to Expect
Please, come as you are! We welcome everyone as they are. Casual clothes are accepted so come to worship comfortably.

Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and Tea are available before and after worship. Come enjoy a cup while visiting with those around you.

We expect children to be wiggly, noisy and full of energy! We believe it takes a "village" and we'd be happy to help and share in your growing family!

Children are WELCOME! There is a children's sermon every Sunday for Children to participate in. We have a nursery right by the sanctuary for parents who want to participate and let their children play.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
As we live His ways and share His love.
* We believe in the Triune God, One God who reveals Godself to us as Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier…Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

* We believe that God created the world and all that is in it, and that God called the world GOOD!

* We believe that each human being since the beginning of time has sinned…individually and corporately and that our sins drive a wedge between us and God, us and others, us and God’s world.

* We believe that God NEVER gives up on loving us! God forgives us and all humanity through the death and resurrection of his Son, Jesus. God’s Holy Spirit is continually at work in our lives and in the world calling us to turn back from our sins and begin anew in God’s gracious forgiveness and love.

* We believe that there is nothing we can do to earn God’s love. God has chosen to love us unconditionally. Since we are loved unconditionally we respond by serving and loving others with the love that God have first given us. Our life’s calling always involves loving God and loving those God loves (since…God love the whole world…we too are called to love everyone).
WHAT WE TEACH
The Bible as the inspired (Spirit Breathed) word of God.

Luther’s Small and Large Catechisms that contain guidance on understanding the Apostles Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments, Confession and Forgiveness, Daily Prayer, and the Sacraments.

Align with teachings of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) (see www.elca.org).
WHAT WE PRACTICE
Liturgical Worship: We read from the Old Testament, The Psalms, The Epistles, and The Gospels at each worship service.
Weekly sermons expound on at least one of the day’s scripture readings. The order and flow of our worship services come directly from scripture. The Sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism
Holy Communion is served weekly and ALL who believe in the forgiving love of Christ are welcome at the communion table.
Baptism is the ritual in which God forgives us of our sins, claims us as children of God, welcomes us into God’s family and opens our hearts to the promise of Eternal Life. Baptism can happen at any age. We are only baptized once, but we are called to daily live in the forgiveness of our baptisms and in the baptismal call to “Let the love and light of Christ shine through our lives in all we say and do.
